Health-care information systems adoption – a review of management practices

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to provide practitioners and researchers a more condensed structured perspective on the adoption information management systems by health-care industry, given spread increased amount research concerning topic. Design/methodology/approach This literature review. A Technology (What?) – Context before Analysis (When Why?) Implementation (How?) Outcomes (What for?) framework used present trends technology in an accessible manner. Findings main finding that small or large organizations should no longer focus systems’ but adopt digital transformation paradigm. By considering paradigm, practices related technologies’ projects be complemented continuous organizational changes readaptation strategy, benefit advantages can offer.
